There are going to be eight teams participating this year in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013. These teams have been pooled in two different groups. All the teams in one group will have at least one match against each other. There will be allocation of points for each of the matches throughout the competition. After the matches of the group stages have concluded, the two top teams from each group will qualify for the semi finals of the tournament. The Group A winner will face the Group B runner up in the first match of the semi final and the Group B winner will face the Group A runner up in the second match of the semi final.
